Discover the secret Alps

Who Are We?

Sixt Alpine Chalet opened it’s doors for the first time in February 2007 following an 18 month renovation of Chalet L’Alpee. Since then we have had the privilege of meeting some lovely people who have become friends and we welcome back year after year.

Being keen skiers, hikers and climbers our aim was to create a chalet holiday that we would want to go on. The result is a real home-from-home chalet accommodation and unrivalled service from start to finish.

But don’t take our word for it – read what previous guests say about us below, or visit our Trip Advisor page.

We look forward to welcoming you at any time of the year.

Lovely owner catered chalet with friendly hosts Beautifully situated chalet with stunning views overlooking the village and mountains. Sean and Juliette are extremely friendly hosts providing delicious food and amazing cakes with tea in the afternoon. The accommodation is spotless and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble during our short skiing break and we appreciated Sean taking us to the ski lifts in the morning and picking us up after a day on the slopes. Spectacular views from the hot tub!

Fab ski chalet A great holiday in a lovely ski chalet in Sixt. Sean and Julia are fantastic hosts who couldn’t be more accommodating. The chalet is warm and welcoming, the food delicious and the transportation to and from the main ski lifts a godsend. It was lovely to be so well looked after and Sean and Julia are great with the kids. All in all a great value ski holiday, thank you.

Fabulous! A fabulous ski break c/o Sean & Julia, who really do offer first class service. It was so great to be chauffeured from/to the airport and to the various nearby resorts each day, taking all the stress and hassle out of skiing.' The chalet is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and Julia is a tremendous cook even if she doesnt have a Michelin Star yet. The skiing is really good for beginners and intermediates in particular with access to a very varied and large ski area.

Great chalet in a quiet mountain village Sixt is not a "typical" ski resort so don't expect to walk out onto the slopes but the transfer service provided by Sean meant that reaching the main uplift from Samoens was a hassle-free experience. Sean and Julia are welcoming and friendly hosts - and although our group challenged their catering abilities a little - 1 Vegan, 1 Vegetarian, 1 with some idiosyncratic allergies and 1 omnivore - they rose to the challenge and generally succeeded. Did I mention the cakes? The chalet itself is well appointed and comfortable and we thought it very good value, especially for the two singles. An evening out in Sixt is not a lively experience and the number of venues is limited but we were warmly welcomed at "le tortillard" where it was possible to find vegan food and we learned a new word - "houblon" - during the obligatory sampling of the local brew.

Corona and bookings

We hope everyone is keeping well during these really difficult times.
We are “enjoying” a very different winter season with no guests but incredible snow! We have been busy with jobs in the chalet but enjoying ski touring and snow-shoeing as well. The chalet is very quiet without our lovely guests though!!

Prices and availability for Winter 2020/21 and Summer 2021 are on the Availability page and we are also taking bookings for Winter 2021/22 with prices remaining the same for early bookings!
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if we can help answer any questions.

Returning Guests

As always, it is great to see guests coming back and we are happy to give a 5% discount on all returning guest bookings
